What is the best section at the Hollywood Bowl? ›

The Super Seats are considered by many to be the best seats at the Hollywood Bowl. Centrally located, there are just three sections of Super Seats, J1, H, and G1. Unlike the boxes or remaining sections, Super Seats are stadium-style and also include cup holders.

Other than the few seats that have an obstructed view, section E at the Hollywood Bowl is a very nice lower cost alternative to box seats. They are as close as the Terrace Boxes… just more stage left. They are bench seats but still very close to the main stage.

The majority of the seats in the bowl, in sections E through X2, are Bench Seats that start right next to the Terrace boxes and go all the way to the back of the theater. Cushions can be brought in for these bench style seats, or you can rent a super-padded cushion from the ushers for only $1.

The Hollywood Bowl Super Seats are known as the preferred section within the Hollywood Bowl because they are limited to only three sections in the central area of the amphitheater and are arranged in stadium-seating style for the lucky patrons who are able to reserve them.

We have a casual dress code. Wear whatever's comfortable (but no bare feet, please!)

You're welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks* to the Hollywood Bowl. Bringing wine and beer is dependent on the type of event you're attending. For LA Phil-presented events, feel free to bring wine bottles, wine glasses and beer bottles inside. For Lease Events, alcohol isn't permitted.

It means you'll be unable to see the entire stage from those seats. You'll have either an incomplete view because of the position of the seats, or something will be in your line of sight – like a handrail, speakers, or the soundboard.

Does it get cold at the Hollywood Bowl? ›

The Hollywood Bowl can get chilly in the evening; check the weather day-of. Coat check will be available.

Factory-sealed plastic bottles with non-alcoholic beverages are allowed as long as they're one liter or less. No glass (including drinking glasses) or aluminum cans, regardless of content. Reusable liquid containers (such as Nalgene bottles) are permitted as long as they're empty.

After a long week, you may not fancy getting all dolled up. Luckily, there is no specific dress code at the bowling alley, and the great thing is you can wear your own shoes however, we still advise you to wear appropriate footwear for the occasion..

Taking an Uber or Lyft to the Bowl? Direct your rideshare to our location at Lot C across from the Bowl for pick-up and drop-off. Rideshare drop-off and pick-up at the Bowl are located in Lot C (Purple).

Terrace seats are very similar to the Garden Boxes located one level in front. The only difference is the Terrace sections are slightly further from the stage. Each box is separated by a wood partition and includes cloth folding chairs. There is enough room to set up a table to enjoy food and beverage from the seats!

Terrace Boxes at Hollywood Bowl are located in the third tier of seating, directly behind the Garden Boxes. These boxes offer a roomier, more comfortable seating experience than the wood, stadium-style Prominage Seats in the back of Hollywood Bowl.

Fifty years later, we still call the semi-circle seating area immediately in front of the stage “The Pool Circle.” On most nights now, it's filled not with 100,000 gallons of water, but with the Bowl's most generous donors and well-heeled patrons, enjoying dinner service.

The Hollywood Bowl is easily the BEST experience in Los Angeles. Of course, which show you see depends on your interest....but there's everything on the performance calendar, so find a show that's of interest and GO!! It's pure magic, and the venue experience alone uplifts the heart and every performance.
