Jihae
Jeon Jaewoo was my best friend. My best, best friend to be exact. He was like a brother to me. He was a shoulder for me to cry on and an ear for me to spill out all of my anger and sadness toward my family. His family was also quite close to mine. In fact, his family was the one who prepared my father's and mother's funeral. We were quite inseparable back then.
But, one day everything's changed. We did often argue, especially about small, unnecessary things, and we had also had fights before, but that was just joking around. But at that time, it was nothing like that at all. He became cold to me. Jeon Jaewoo was known as the warm-hearted kind of guy who was always cheerful and smiled to everyone, so it was quite odd, knowing he became cold to me. I didn't know the reason why and so did Mijoo who often hung out with us. I'd wanted to say sorry and make peace with him because fighting with Jeon Jaewoo was exhausting and I'd missed him a lot. But, it was too late. Jaewoo's family had already moved to Australia and I didn't have his phone number. I didn't even have the chance to say good bye.
This was why I was really worried when Taehyung became cold to me. I feared that he would one day pack his bags and leave without saying goodbye. I didn't want my relationship with Taehyung became like what I had with Jaewoo.
"Yah, Lee Jihae, are you listening?" Mijoo asked as I snapped back to reality.
I shook my head slowly to remove those memories of me and Jaewoo out of my mind. "Sorry, I blanked out."
"You were thinking about him, weren't you?" she asked and I nodded. "It must have been quite hard for you. I'm sorry, Jihae, for bringing this up."
"Nah, it's okay. Jaewoo probably has forgotten about me though," I said as I gave her a faint smile.
Mijoo held my hand and gave me a smile. "No, he hasn't."
"Why are you so sure?"
"Because I've talked to him, Jihae," she said, "and he wanted to meet you."
Well, would you look at that.

The next day, I came over to Taehyung's house. I rarely visited his home, certainly not as much as he used to come over to mine. I was worried because he didn't answer any of my calls, so I decided to go there to spend the day together because I'd missed him so much.
"Should we watch a movie, Taehyung?" I asked and he only shrugged toward my question, meaning that he could care less, which made me a bit sad.
We then watched the movie in silence. I kept holding back my tears as I remembered that we used to cuddle and snuggle under a blanket every time we watched something on TV. I would serve us a bag of popcorn and two glasses of hot chocolate and he would be the one who chose what movie we should watch. On that day, he barely glanced at me as if I wasn't even there with him.
The movie then ended after more or less 2 hours. I was about to ask him what we should do next when my phone vibrated. It was a text from Mijoo.
[From: Yoon Mijoo]
Hey, Jaewoo is waiting for you in 'that' place. You do remember, right?
I took a deep breath. I was debating with my inner self whether or not I should get up now to meet him. It had been so long, I wondered if I was ready to see him again. I glanced over Taehyung who was changing the TV cable to his video game console. I sighed, it wasn't like he was preparing a special night with me or anything.
"Hey, Taehyung," I called, but no response. Well, the same as the usual day, in which he ignored me while playing video games. I approached him and patted his shoulder carefully. "Yah, Kim Taehyung."
"What?" he replied coldly, not even looking at me.
"I'm going out now."
"Yeah, whatever."
"Don't you wanna ask me where I'm going or with whom I'm going?" I asked. "You used to ask those questions."
"Seriously, woman," he asked with a tone that I sensed to be annoyance, "if you want to leave, then just leave. Just don't bother me while I'm playing video games."
I sighed. "Alright, I'm leaving."
